What Are Workshops at The Shala?

Workshops at The Shala go beyond “learning poses.” They are guided explorations of the body, breath, nervous system and subtle energy, designed to help you understand yourself more deeply while developing safe and confident practice.

Whether you are curious about inversions, managing stress, women’s health, alignment, or simply want to reconnect to your body, I offer grounded, trauma-informed workshops rooted in lived experience, yoga philosophy, anatomy knowledge and warm teaching.

My teaching blends the science of anatomy and biomedical understanding with traditional yoga, Tantra philosophy, Bhakti (devotional practices like chanting) and embodied awareness. Everything is taught in a grounded, deeply human way. Expect clarity, warmth, safety, conscious pacing, and space to ask questions.
